The "Memling and Old Saint John Hospital"

The Saint John Hospital is one of the oldest authentic and preserved hospital complexes of Europe. In the museum, one can get an idea of earlier hospital life in the infirmaries, wards and patient areas.

The old apothecary and the herb garden are also worth visiting. In the Hospital chapel are displayed the most important works (such as the Holy Ursula Shrine among others) of the master artist and Flemish Primitive painter Hans Memling.
